Disappointed — Ordered Catfish, Received Something Else I recently visited The Catch in Denton and ordered two catfish baskets. Unfortunately, what we received did not appear to be catfish. Both baskets appeared to contain whitefish instead, and what was especially disappointing was that the fish seemed to have been presented as though it were catfish. If I order catfish, I expect to receive catfish—not a different type of fish disguised or represented as catfish. Had we been told that catfish was unavailable and asked whether we wanted a substitute, that would have been completely different. The food may have been acceptable on its own, but the issue is trust and honesty with the customer. Customers should be able to rely on a restaurant to serve what they ordered and to be upfront when a substitution is necessary. I hope management takes this seriously and makes sure customers are clearly informed whenever an item is unavailable or substituted. Also, the customer service was disappointing. When I arrived to pick up my order, the cashier was standing there talking with the cook. I stood there for approximately five minutes before I was acknowledged and given my order. During

Where do I start, the food was cold, the onion rings were soft and soggy. The catfish were dry, we couldn’t even finish the corn it taste like chemicals. We only received 4 shrimps when we ordered 6. Honestly this was the worst meal i have had in a long time and on top of that we spent 50$ just to wait 15 mins to get mediocre food.

My man and I used to love The Catch, but recently the quality has dropped by quite a bit. I always get the French Quarter Plate, and my favorite part is the Bang Bang shrimp. The last time I got this meal, was the exact same experience. Barely a drizzle of sauce on the shrimp, if that. Thankfully last time, we were able to go back through the drive thru and request additional sauce. This time, we ordered our food, and unfortunately received the same poor quality in the food itself and the lack of a quality check. Due to it being delivered, we were unable to remedy the issue this time. I have attached a picture of the meal, as well as what it’s supposed to look like per their website, which is the experience I have had before as well when the food and service was more consistent. I’m not sure what has changed, but we are very disappointed.

Service was quick, friendly, and proactive. The food is delicious, and good portions for the price! Left feeling full. The margarita hit the spot 😋 the spices and hot sauce at the table are classic Cajun staples. Will definitely be back soon

CRAWFISH are amazing! 😻 I love crawfish. I’ve eaten every place within 100 miles of here, this is by far the best!!! Traditional with light seasoning ! $6 a pound! you can’t beat it. Do yourself a favor and come get some crawfish. And DR pepper- seriously the best DP in Denton.
